Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995)

During the year of 2015, the world is almost at the verge of destruction. Humanity's last and only hope lies in the hands of a special agency under the Unitaed Nations called Nerv, and their Evangelions, which are enormous machines with the ability of defeating the Angels who are the reason behind Earth's wreckage. Gendou Ikari, head of the organization, searches for potential pilots who can fit with the Evangelions.

14-year-old Shinji Ikari's ordinary life changed overnight when he meets his father for the first time and was thrown into the depths of Nerv - and now he must join as the pilot of Evangelion Unit-01 with the fate and lives of mankind in his hands.
