Katanagatari (2010)

Shichika is a strong sword wielder who practices a unique style of sword-fighting, the Kyotouryuu (bladeless sword art) amongst the many that exist in Edo-era Japan. One faithful day, Shichika's peaceful life is interrupted by Togame.

Togame is a strategist for the shogunate and requests Shichika to help her with her mission in collecting the "Deviant Blades." Shichika and Togame head out on an epic journey to collect the 12 Deviant Blades while working together to discover the hidden secrets of the Kyotouryuu and challenge perilous situations head on.
