Steins;Gate (2011)

Rintarou Okabe is a self-proclaimed mad scientist who rents out a room located in an old building in Akihabara. There, he spends most of his time of inventing various future devices with his fellow lab members: Mayuri Shiina and Hashida itaru. The trio spends their day messing around with their most propitious device: a machine to which they call the "Phone Microwave," which morphs bananas into stacks of green gel.

This device hasn't proven anything so far until the Phone Microwave has the ability to deliver emails to the past, changing the course of history.
