A modern age story that centers on Emira, a Black woman who is trying her best to survive every day and Alix, same-age peer but with a totally different social status. Alix is a white, married, privileged and successful woman with two kids. She then hires Emira to babysit her children. One night, Emira takes one of Alix's child to the grocery store, where a security guard asks her why is a white child under the care of a Black woman?
