The Goldfinch

Theodore Decker was only a young child of thirteen when his mother was killed in a bombing that happened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This traumatic experience changes the way he looks at life, sending him on a journey where grief and guilt are still present, and even love is not exempted from this. But he still holds on to a tiny piece of hope that others might not ever understand: a painting of a little bird.
