The story follows the adventures of Mufasa and his one and only heir, Simba. The two were inseparable, until Simba's vile and dreadful uncle, Scar, had to lure both of them in a stampede of wild beasts. Simba manages to survive and escape; but unfortunately, Mufasa didn't. As soon as Simba reaches adulthood already, he returned to take back his homeland, which is his in the first place.

I teared up the first time I've read the book. And even if I know what's going to happen with Mufasa, I still ended up crying because it also feels different having to see the story you once read on a big screen, with moving and talking characters and a whole setting that you've only imagined before.
