After her mother died, Cinderella's father married Lady Tremaine, who had two stepdaughters. But due to unfortunate events, her father died as well. With that being said, her stepmother and stepsisters made Cinderella live in their attic and treated her as if she's not family. One night, Cinderella had a chance to experience attending a midnight ball and left her responsibilities and worries behind after she met the Fairy Godmother.
At the start of the story, I really felt bad towards Cinderella since she wasn't treated as family after her father died. I've always liked Cinderella and her story just fascinates me, especially that one condition her fairy grandmother has for her.
