In this Privacy Policy, “Service(s)” and “Site” will refer to www.hobbelisk.com and other related sites/services operated by Hobbelisk Inc. “Information” will refer to personal information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. “You” and “Your” will refer to the User, entity, or person who is accessing or uses our Services in any manner. “We”, “Our”, and “Us” will refer to Hobbelisk Inc. “Contributions” will refer to content you add or change on the Service. Lastly, “Third Party” will refer to entities, websites, services, products, and applications that are not controlled, managed, or operated by Hobbelisk Inc.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Any information you provide to the site when making use of the services will be collected. This includes but is not limited to your email, username, information you post, information you provide on your profile, search queries conducted on the site, as well as any information in the messages you send to us.
Information that is automatically collected
You do not need to create an account in order to use the services. However, when visiting the site, we may collect the following data to help us improve the functionality of the site such as recognizing you, your preferences, as well as providing more personalized advertising:
- IP address and bandwidth speed.
- Information about the browser and operating system you are using.
- Webpages you were visiting immediately before and after visiting the Site.

- Where required by law or under good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to conform to applicable law, subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes in order to defend against legal claims and protect the property and interests of Hobbelisk Inc., personal safety, or the public. Do note that Hobbelisk Inc. reserves the right to not provide notice when prohibited from doing so by law, court order, or other legal processes.
- Third Party Applications you use that make use of our APIs.
- Other Third Party Applications where we have obtained your consent or you have requested us to do so.
- Advertising, marketing, and analytics vendors. Note that any information you post on the site is publicly available and can be collected by third parties. Hobbelisk Inc. is not responsible for the information you choose to submit.
Information Storage
Our servers are located within Canada. As such, information we collect from you will be subjected to Canadian law. We do not keep information longer than is necessary for legal or legitimate business purposes. Although we use reasonable measures to protect the information of our users, information that is collected by third parties may not have the same security protections. As such, we are not responsible for the security of the information collected by the third parties.
Your Choices
Cookies
We will use cookies for the purposes of remembering site preferences such as language settings and keeping you logged in. We may use similar technologies such as web beacons or tracking URLs to obtain log data. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used to collect information about how you interact with the Service. If you prefer, you can configure your web browser to remove and reject cookies. However, do note that removing or rejecting cookies may affect the functionality of our services.
Account Deletion
If you choose to, you can delete your account at any time by going to the Account Settings page. However, do note that doing so will not remove any public posts you have made on the site.
Third Party Advertising
Advertisements on the site may collect information about you and your online activities. Since these advertisements are from third parties, Hobbelisk Inc. does not control what information is collected through these advertisements. As such, information collected by these third parties are not covered in this Privacy Policy. If you wish, you may find the appropriate settings in the settings page to disable personalized advertising. Do note that this will not reduce the advertising that is on the site.
“Do-Not-Track” Signals
Although some browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals, there is currently no standard for these signals. As such, the site will not respond to these signals.
Your rights regarding your information
To give you full control over your information, the site allows you to access, modify, and receive copies of information you provide in a machine readable format. We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity for the purpose of security before disclosing requested data.
Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw your consent for the collection, usage, and storage of your information at any time by emailing us a reasonable notice at support@hobbelisk.com. Please title the email “Hobbelisk Consent Withdrawal”. Upon receiving such a request, your information will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe unless applicable laws and regulations permit or require us to keep it. You will also be informed of the likely consequences of this withdrawal of consent. Do note that without this consent, we may not be able to provide you with our Service. If you have withdrawn consent regarding the sharing or usage of your information, there will be at least 12 months before we ask for your consent again.
Children
The site does not permit children to register without verifiable parental consent. Children may access the site only if we have obtained verifiable parental consent from their parent or legal guardian in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Children are defined to be persons under the age of 13.
California Residents
Users who are California users may exercise the following rights by emailing us at support@hobbelisk.com.
- If you are under the age of 18, you may request the removal of content that you have posted. To exercise this right, please email us with the email titled ‘California Content Removal’ and contain an adequate description of the content to be removed for us to be able to locate and remove said content.
- Removal of your information from our servers. The email should be titled ‘California Information Deletion’ and contain an adequate description of the information to be deleted for us to be able to locate and delete said information. Do note that this request may be denied if the information in question is necessary for us to provide you with services you have requested, protect against malicious or illegal activity, or comply with any legal obligations.
- Requesting copies of your information that we keep. The email should be titled ‘California Data Request’. If applicable, you will receive information including what type of information has been collected from you.
- Withdrawing consent for the collection, usage, and storage of your information. For this, please refer to the above section ‘Withdrawing Consent’.
- Requesting information about what personal information has been shared and with which entities. The email should be titled ‘California Shine the Light’. If applicable, you will receive information including what type of information has been shared as well as the names and addresses of those businesses with which we have shared your personal information for the preceding calendar year.
Please note that Hobbelisk does not sell personal information to third parties. If you have withdrawn consent regarding the sharing or usage of your information, there will be at least 12 months before we ask for your consent again. We will not discriminate against users who have exercised these rights.
Security
We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect your information such as offering HTTPS secure access to the site. However, no security is absolute. As such, we do not guarantee the security of any information we receive from you. In the case of a security breach, we will notify all affected users of the breach and which of their data may be affected.
Third Party Websites
The site may contain links to third party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy of your information on those services. As such, this Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy at any time and the most recent update time will be stated at the top of the Privacy Policy. When the policy is updated, we will notify you via the email you have provided us. We will seek consent from you before using your information in any new manner you have not yet consented to. Your continued use of the services after any changes to this policy represents your consent to the new Policy. We recommend you review this policy each time you use the site to stay informed with its contents.
