You are a blacksmith's grandson, during the festivities you get a visit from princess Zelda who is picking up a prize sword for a tournament. At said tournament, evil gets unleashed by the evil wizard Vaati and it's up to you to traverse Hyrule, save the princess and defeat Vaati.
