Set in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Odokawa, a walrus taxi driver, conversing with other animal inhabitants who use his services, uncovers a series of interconnected mysteries with many of his clients.

In 2126, the game YGGDRASIL was released, a full-body virtual MMO with insane levels of customization for the players and their guilds. However, YGGDRASIL's servers are being shut down, and Momonga is the only one left as the clock counts down to midnight... except when it hits 12:00, Momonga doesn't leave the game -- instead he and his guild's base have been transported to a mysterious fantasy world, and all of the NPCs painstakingly crafted by his friends are now fully sentient.
