If you’ve read or heard of Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl, you’re probably already familiar with who Simon and Baz are. Carry On is an enthralling book that revolves around ghost and love stories, monsters, a touch of mystery, and apparently, more monsters and kissing.

It's time for Harry's second year at Hogwarts, but things are not going well for him. None of his friends have contacted him over the summer and everything just seems to be going wrong for him. To make matters worse, when he finally does make it to Hogwarts, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is an absolute buffoon... and is taking an annoying amount of interest in Harry. And of course, then students begin being attacked, and Harry's the prime suspect. How's he going to survive this school year?

Harry Potter has had a hard life. He was orphaned at a young age and has grown up with his uncle and aunt, who seem to absolutely hate him and ignore their own son's constant bullying of Harry. Come Harry's eleventh birthday, however, and a giant named Hagrid tells him that all the strange things that have happened to him are because he's a wizard, and among the wizarding community, he is rich and famous. The story starts off with Jason Grace who wakes up on a school bus one morning with no memories of his past. He was with a girl who claimed to be his girlfriend, Piper McClean, and Leo Valdez, who claims to be his best friend. The three were on a field trip to the Grand Canyon until a group of storm spirits attacked them upon arriving.

Despite the obvious differences, the Greek and Roman demigods must coordinate with each other if they want to win the battle and defeat the giant monsters that Gaea released. But before that, they must pass through the Doors of Death. Nobody knows what's inside the Doors of Death but the name itself is enough to bring horror and fear.

This book follows the story of Percy Jackson, the son of Neptune who is otherwise known as Poseidon, was stated to have amnesia. He managed to get back to Camp Half Blood but he doesn't seem to remember anyone or anything at all.

It's time for Harry's third year at Hogwarts, and everybody's looking forward to it: Harry spent half the summer in Diagon Alley, Ron got to go to Egypt, Hermione got a new cat, and everyone's talking about finally visiting Hogsmeade this year! Okay, Harry might not be able to go, because Uncle Vernon refused to sign the permission slip, but at least the Defense the Dark Arts teacher is finally competent, and seems to have taken a liking to Harry! Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts has begun, and it's looking to be a particularly odd one. This year, Hogwarts is hosting the Triwizard Tournament, a competition between Hogwarts and two other wizarding schools, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. It's supposed to be only for wizards who are already 17, but somehow, despite not entering, Harry's name was chosen to be the fourth participant in a three-wizard competition. It's a dangerous set of three contests, but with many precautions in place and a veteran Auror teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts this year, surely Harry will be safe... right?

Harry has not been having a good summer. Voldemort's back, but nobody is telling Harry anything. Then a dementor attacks him, and before Harry has a moment to think, he's required to go to a Ministry hearing to see if he's expelled from Hogwarts and whisked away to Sirius' house, and introduced to Dumbledore's Order of the Phoenix. But even then he's being kept away from meetings and feeling alienated, even when Ron and Hermione are there. Throw in a ministry-appointed Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who seems bent ruling Hogwarts with an iron fist, and this is shaping up to be Harry's worst year at Hogwarts yet.

When Harry's summer is interrupted by Professor Dumbledore himself visiting the Dursleys and taking Harry to help recruit the new Hogwarts professor, you know this is going to be a weird one. This school year is promising private lessons with Dumbledore, Snape as Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and Harry suddenly becoming a top potions student (thanks to a textbook previously owned by one Half-Blood Prince), so it's sure to be a wild ride.

Harry's final year at Hogwarts is finally here, but he, Ron, and Hermione are not going. Voldemort is at full power, the Ministry and Hogwarts are under his control, and muggleborn wizards are being rounded up as magic-stealers, so instead the three of them are off on an adventure around Britain to find Horcruxes and defeat Voldemort once and for all!.. if only it was that easy. These Horcruxes are hard to find, and being cut off from the rest of the wizarding world takes a toll on these three young adults. And what are these mysterious Deathly Hallows that keep on popping up?
